OZARKS OLDER IRON CLUB

TRACTOR PULL GENERAL RULES

 

1. Drivers must remain seated at all times; no seat bouncing; seats must be stock or equal, except open.

2. Only one person on a tractor (Certain exceptions; steam engine, etc.).

3. Working kill switch within reach of the seated operator.

4. Working brakes are required (Certain exceptions; steam engines, etc.).

5. No radial tires, duals, chains, studs, etc. No 4-wheel drive.

6. Mechanical problems do not end pull. You can be allowed one restart at the end of your class.

7. All pulls will start with a tight chain; no popping of clutches.

8. Any weight or part falling off of tractor while hooked to sled will be a cause for disqualification.

9. All tractors will be subject to technical inspections at any time by pull officials for safety and unauthorized modifications (Must have manufacturers standard engine)

10 .No weights may extend behind the rear wheels, or more than 24 inches past front of tractor.

11.Front wheels may not, at any time, be more than 18 inches off of the ground.

12.No hot-rodding allowed in track area or show grounds.

13.No driving of tractors in spectator area.

14.No alcohol allowed on show grounds.

15.Drivers must have a valid drivers license. Those underage drivers must be 12 years of age (6 for Jr. Pullers) and have written consent of parent/guardian and be supervised by said person or their designee and have passed the safety test!

16. No limited slip or positive traction rear end.

17. Must obey Flagman! Failure to obey will result in disqualification.

18. PROTEST - Any protest filed with the flag person or track person will result in both the tractor and the protester’s tractor being checked for any OOIC violations or infractions. The protester must be a puller in the same weight class. The protest must be made before the tractor believed to be in violation leaves the end of the track; you must go to the flagman or track official to protest a tractor. Once the tractor leaves the end of the track, no protest can be made. Rules committee has the right to protest any tractor at any time on or off the track. All decisions are final. All judge’s decisions are final. Track judges have the right to stop a tractor pull at any time. NO one during the pull is allowed on the track except: Safety Officers, Track Officials and or Flag Personnel during a pulling event.

19. Open class tractors may not pull in farm stock or classic classes.

FARM STOCK CLASSIC TRACTOR PULL RULES

Percentage pull

ENTRY:

Up to 1959 year models. Models continued after 1959 are allowed. Tractors may have more than one driver per class, but only one driver will be awarded a place. Tractors may pull in heavier classes but they must sign in at the minimum weight for that class.

No wheelie bars will be allowed!

RIMS & WHEELS:

Tractors must have OEM appearing rims and wheels. Tires must be on rim width not exceeding-tire manufacturer's recommended width. See tire chart at end of rulebook  for maximum size. No cut tires, radials or duals.

HITCHES:

Maximum 20" height (stationary in all directions). Hitches must be factory stock (unaltered) and 18" minimum from center line of axle to hitch pint. A clevis with a

minimum 2x2" opening must be furnished by operator. Steel wheels - 16" maximum height.

SPEEDS:

First or second gear - not to exceed 3.5 miles per hour. Not allowed to torque or gear shift.

WEIGHTS:

Bolt-on type to either front or rear wheels. Only factory weights and brackets allowed.

No add-on brackets or hanging weights.

ENGINE:

Shall not exceed 100 horsepower. Stock block, naturally aspirated. Exceptions; Oliver 99 GM, etc. Stock head, manifold, and carburetor. Manifolds are to be OEM or replacement manufactured parts accepted for that make and model tractor. Stock engine RPM. Engine parts not in parts book for that specific tractor cannot be used. A factory coil or equivalent must be used. Electronic ignition allowed, but must be stock appearing. RPM - Maximum of 10% over factory high idle specification. No dual exhausts unless OEM equipped.

APPEARANCE:

Tractors should maintain original stock appearance. Seat must be a stock seat or a manufactured seat placed with stock mountings (such as TSC). Home-made side shields will not be allowed. Exception: Factory side shields such as Oliver. Alternators and  straight pipes are allowed.

FUEL:

Gas, Diesel, or LP fuels only. No alcohol or nitrous oxide fuels may be used in tractors. Tractors manufactured to use diesel fuel only cannot be converted to gas or LP.

FARM STOCK ANTIQUE TRACTOR PULL RULES

Percentage Pull

ENTRY:

Tractors/Models manufactured in 1938 or before. Models continued past 1938 are allowed. (Example: John Deere unstyled allowed, but not styled).

Tractors may have more than one driver per class, but only one driver will be awarded a place. Tractors may pull in heavier classes but must sign in at the minimum weight for that class.

No wheelie bars will be allowed!

Rims and Wheels:

Must have OEM appearing rims and wheels. Tires must be on rim width not exceeding tire manufacturer's recommended width. See tire chart at end of rulebook for maximum tire sizes. No cut tires, radials or duals.

Maximum 20" height (stationary in all directions). Hitches must be factory stock

(unaltered) and 18" minimum from center line of axle to hitch pint. A clevis with a

Distance Pull

ENTRY:

may have more than one driver per class, but only one driver will be awarded a place.

Tractors may pull in multiple classes.

Tractors may have wheelie bars.

RIMS & WHEELS:

Tractors must have OEM appearing rims and wheels. Tires must be on rim width not exceeding tire manufacturer's recommended width. See chart at end of rulebook  for maximum size. No cut tires, radials or duals.

HITCHES:

Maximum 20" height (stationary in all directions). Hitches must be 18" minimum from centerline of axle to hitch point. A clevis with a minimum 2 x 2" opening must be furnished by operator. Steel wheels 16" maximum height.

First or second gear - not to exceed 3.5 miles per hour. Not allowed to torque shift.

Shall not exceed 100 horsepower. Stock block, naturally aspirated. Exceptions; Oliver 99, GM, etc. Stock head, manifold, and carburetor. Manifolds are to be OEM or replacement manufactured parts accepted for that make and model tractor. Stock engine RPM. Engine parts not in parts book for that specific tractor cannot be used. TSC power blocks are allowed.  A factory coil or equivalent must be used. Electronic ignition is allowed, but must be stock appearing. RPM - Maximum of 20% over factory high idle specification. No dual exhausts unless OEM equipped.

 OPEN TRACTOR PULL RULES

ENTRY: Must be 1959 or older (models continued after 1959 are allowed). Open tractors must have working kill switch and wheelie bars.

1. May not exceed 100 horsepower.

2. Dual exhaust is allowed.

3. Tire size - 18.4 -38 maximum.

4. Antique or classic tractors may pull in open class.

5. May pull in any gear, 10 MPH or 4 MPH classes. Torque amplifier may not be shifted.

6. Any engine RPM.

7. Cut tires allowed.

8. No turbo.
